'Gravity' rockets to No. 1 movie

“Gravity” soared to No. 1 at the box office, propelled by excellent reviews and the extra surcharges for 3-D and IMAX. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney play astronauts stranded in space after space debris destroys their shuttle. 
 
Rentrak Corp. estimates it made $55,550,000 in its first weekend of release with “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2” dropping 37 percent but still grossing $21.5 million, bringing its total to $60,556,726 for two weeks.
