The Minions keep working their magic, holding onto the top spot at the box office over “Grown-Ups 2” (above, stars Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock and Adam Sandler) and “Pacific Rim.” 
 
Early figures from hollywood.com report “Despicable Me 2” grossed $44,753,540, bringing its two-week total to $229,237,420.
 
Here are early numbers, which will be updated to include top 10 around noon:

2. “Grown-Ups 2” — $42,500,000. 
 
3. “Pacific Rim” — $38,300,000.

5. “The Lone Ranger” — $11,140,000, for $71,101,000 to date. 
 
6. “Monsters University” — $10,621,000, for $237,760,000 to date.  
 
7. “World War Z” — $9,430,000, or $177,087,000 so far. 
 
8. “White House Down” — $6,150,000, bringing its three-week totatl to $62,963,000. 
 
9. “Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain” — $5,000,000, for $26,378,309 since release .
 
10. “Man of Steel” — $4,825,000, or $280,995,000 so far.
