'We Have a Pope' movie returning -- it's dramedy, not doc

Sundance Selects will re-release the dramedy “We Have a Pope” on March 20 at Lincoln Plaza Cinemas in New York along with digital platforms such s iTunes, Amazon, Xbox, GooglePlay, Sony Play Station and SundanceNOW.

The movie, while dramatizing many of the rituals which have played out on a world stage in recent weeks, has a very different twist. In that project, the newly elected pope – a darkhorse candidate – panics and bolts as he is about to appear on the balcony to greet the faithful awaiting the conclave’s decision.

I reviewed the movie when it opened at Pittsburgh Filmmakers’ Regent Square Theater in May 2012. Here is a link to the 2.5-star review:
