'Jack Reacher' DVD date announced
“Jack Reacher,” the Tom Cruise movie filmed in Pittsburgh as “One Shot,” will arrive on Blu-ray, DVD and on demand May 7. It also will be available for digital download April 23. The Blu-ray will have the movie along with commentary by Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie; commentary by composer Joe Kraemer; an extra called “When the Man Comes Around”; a look at how “You Do Not Mess With Jack Reacher: Combat and Weapons”; and an exploration of the Reacher phenomenon around the world with author Lee Child.
Single-disc DVD, with suggested price of $29.99, will have just the movie.
Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack will have a suggested retail price of $39.99.
The movie was scheduled to have a splashy premiere in Pittsburgh until the Newtown school shootings happened. A much scaled down showing happened in December at the SouthSide Works Cinema.
