movieposterbv226If you’ve been waiting seven years for the next installment of Michael Apted's “7 Up” series in which he revisits a group of Brits ever seven years, you have to wait one more week.

The movie was originally going to open here March 1 but now will arrive at the Harris Theater, Downtown, on March 8. Pittsburgh Filmmakers decided to hold “Searching for Sugar Man” for one more week – it just won the Academy Award for documentary, after all.

In other news, the Manor Theater is holding onto “The Last Gladiators,” the very watchable documentary about hockey enforcers, particularly Chris “Knuckles” Nilan.

As for what’s opening this week in Pittsburgh:  “Jack the Giant Slayer” in 2-D and 3-D, “21 and Over,” “The Last Exorcism, Part II,” “John Dies at the End,” “Happy People:  A Year in the Taiga”  and “Phantom.”
