Writers Guild hands out its top honors
“Argo” is looking unstoppable.
Tonight, it won the Writers Guild of America award for best adapted screenplay by Chris Terrio. That meant, however, that “Perks of Being a Wallflower” lost, along with “Life of Pi,” “Lincoln” and “Silver Linings Playbook.”
Mark Boal's “Zero Dark Thirty” won for best original screenplay and “Searching for Sugar Man” for documentary at the honors being awarded in Los Angeles and New York.
