SPOILER ALERT ... if you plan to watch the BAFTA Awards tonight from London. That is where Ben Affleck and George Clooney, both bearded and looking distinguished, are right now.

Ben Affleck’s winning streak continues. “Argo” won the prize for best movie and he was named best director, a prize he cannot take on Oscar night. However, pundits think the hostage-crisis movie has the momentum for best picture at the Academy Awards.

In other BAFTA awards,  “Skyfall” was named outstanding British film.

Top acting honors went to:  Daniel Day-Lewis for “Lincoln,” Emmanuelle Riva for “Amour” (opening in Pittsburgh on Friday), Anne Hathaway for her supporting turn in “Les Miserables” and Christoph Waltz for “Django Unchained.”
