What's opening Friday in Pittsburgh

Nothing more frustrating than watching TV commercials for movies that say  “Now in theaters everywhere” — but you know that’s not true.

However, “Quartet” is scheduled to open this Friday, Feb. 1, at the Manor Theater in Squirrel Hill. It should not be confused with “A Late Quartet” although each has its charms and commendable casts.

Also opening this week in Pittsburgh theaters:  “Warm Bodies,” a zombie romcom starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer and John Malkovich; “Stand Up Guys” with Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin; “Bullet to the Head” starring Sylvester Stallone; and the Oscar-nominated animated and live-action shorts (separate tickets) at the Regent Square Theater.
